A cpuple weekends ago we decided to have a cchill weekend and save. And it was possibly one of my favourites yet, and there was not a party or a drink in sight. Even though I do enjoy a good glass of wine on a weekend, I think my favourite way to spend my time off is going on small adventures, especially if the weather is good.

That weekend it was constantly over 20 degrees and I just wanted to spend all day in the sun. So we decided to spend Sunday out cycling the Waterford Greenway. I love cycling so much and I have actually only done this once before, I know a shame when it's right on your doorstep, but I'm going to make a habit to go more often.

For anyone who doesn't know, the Greenway was constructed a couple years ago starting at the old railway line from Waterford City and believe it or not stretches 46km all the way to Dungarvan. This off-road cycling and walking track is perfect for those sober weekends and it's safe so the whole family can enjoy it together. There is so many stops so you could start in Waterford, the WIT Arena, Dungarvan etc. and choose your own route. This time we cycled from the WIT Arena all the way past the Coach House in Kilmacthomas, when we decided it was probably time to turn back as our legs were getting a bit sore.

We ended up cycling 40km in total which was beyond crazy, I've never done that much in my life I couldn't believe it. Honestly, I'm not much of a cyclist, but the scenery is so breath-takingly beautiful you will get so distracted that you'll forget to turn around.

So if you are looking for some sober activities this weekend, give it a go and enjoy the beautiful trip, hopefully the weather keeps up for it because it makes it so much sweeter.

Thanks for reading,

Char
