The Best Chipper in Ireland
Let's get real, there are probably more chippers in this country than there are mouths to feed. Irish people love a good chipper, including me. But we all have our go-to favourites. For years, I never actually had a favourite, I had things I liked to order in different places. That was until I was told about KC's.
KC's, believe it or not, is nowhere near me for it to be my favourite, but I would drive there every week if I could. It's so worth it, not only is it my favourite but I could hand on heart swear that it is certainly a strong contender for the best in the country.
Where?
If you didn't know about KC's, you probably wouldn't find it. It's in the heart of Douglas, in Co. Cork. The only real reason the building might stand out for you, is the fact after 5pm there will be a huge queue out the door and all the way down the street. You might ask yourself who would queue so long for a chipper? I definitely did. But after trying it, I would've drove all the way back the day after. And it's nearly a two hour journey!

Why?
Not only is all the generic chipper food incredible, but KC's invented some amazing recipes. An example is there famous King Creole. Just imagine this a chicken breast fillet roasted with spices with lettuce mayo and chips...all in a pitta! Unbelievable. The price is ridiculously cheap too, there most famous creation only €5.50, what a good bargain if you ask me.
They have options from chicken to steak or even vegetarian options too. You could order pittas, sandwiches, burgers or even some sides. Here's a quick look at the menu.
If anyone has been feel free to leave a comment about it, or even some suggestions on what to order next time.
As always thanks for reading,
Hope you enjoyed it,
Char
