Healthy snacks can be the key to staying on track. Snacks are great to provide the nutrition you need and keep you full until your next meal.
Fruit

Apples
Fruit like apples for example can be a great low calorie bite to keep your sugar levels up and keep you full of energy. Apples are roughly only 80 calories, you can also had peanut butter to some apple slices to make it a bit more interesting.
Bananas
Bananas are just over 100 calories usually and high in carbs to keep you full if you're next meal isn't for a while. Bananas are definitely my favourite snack. They're so handy to bring anywhere.
Berries
Berries are so underestimated. Some are seriously low calories and full of fiber. Raspberries are one of the highest providing foods of fiber, something you wouldn't think at all, and have barely any calories. The only thing that bothers me about berries is that they usually come in a huge pack that isn't ideal for carrying all day, you'd need to leave them in a fridge or something really.
Seeds & Nuts

Seeds & nuts are ideal for snacking on the go. They are so easy to store and are usually sold in boxes or resealable packaging. So you can bring them home or to work etc. Ideal! They are also another great source of fiber and ideal for someone on a keto diet. If you don't follow diets they're also great, once like everything you have them in moderation as they can be quite high in fats. My favourites are pumpkin seeds and Brazil nuts. Centra actually sells these together in a large tub.
If you don't like seeds by themselves, chia seeds can be great added to overnight oats, porridge or even in smoothies. They'll keep you fuller that bit longer too!
Fat-Free Yogurt
Definitely one of my favourite snacks in the night-time. Especially cause I can eat even more of this and it's still guilt free. I love the Glenisk one's especially as it's high in protein with no fat and low sugar & carbs. I eat this plain, with granola or some berries too.
Protein Bars
Protein bars can be such a good snack, especially to kick a sweet craving. I find often when I look for something sweet a protein bar will usually do the trick, and they are so healthy, especially the fulfill brand. Fulfill have to be my all time favourites. They have so many different flavours from my new favourite chocolate peanut butter to lemon to white chocolate.
They're also only all about 190 calories, low in fat & sugar with high protein (obviously). There's a lot of protein brands I find taste 'typically' healthy, but fulfill are genuinely so tasty that you don't feel deprived either. I am obsessed with them. My favourite is the new peanut butter one, it's like a snickers or a Reece's bar but without the guilt!
Eggs on Toast
This is great to give you plenty of energy. You will also be a lot fuller as it's more a small meal than a snack but still completely guilt free...and bread! Who says you can't still enjoy bread, everything in moderation is allowed, especially if it's wholegrain or sourdough bread.
Black Olives

Black olives are such a good snack, it's probably not the healthiest that I usually eat these if i was drinking wine, but at least one of those is healthy! Olives are really low in calories, such a good substitute for crisps.
Six Pack Snacks
Six Pack Snacks are a Waterford based company, but to my knowledge they sell all across Ireland. They use only natural ingredients with no artificial sweeteners. Would you believe all of their snacks are made without refined sugar, gluten or dairy too, so Celiac’s, Diabetics can enjoy them too!
I love these because they taste so good if I'm trying to replace a snack I don't want something bland tasting. They're really low in calories, so completely guilt free. Also they have so many options, from their protein balls, to cakes. I've even seen them cater for birthdays and things lately it's madness.
They are quite cheap for a local business too, definitely cheaper than other ones I've seen around. I've never bought directly from the company but I've bought their products in cafés and they've only been a couple of euro at most.
They're stocked in Quench in Kingfisher, Hook & Ladder. I'm not sure where else because this is where I've always found them! I've linked the products in the images.
I find having good snacks is key to losing weight, I always eat well, but I tend to stick to this a lot more coming up to a holiday. When I have my bikini on the mind and all. I won't lie bikini season is always on my mind, i'm insane, but coming close to a holiday I need to cut my junk and I swap it for these snacks instead.
Hope this helps you all prepare for you're next holiday!
